BUESCHER AT TEXAS… Buescher has made five career starts at Texas Motor Speedway – three of which came in 2009 and two earlier this season in April 2010. All of the Texas native’s starts have come in a variety of series – two in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, two in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and one in the ARCA Racing Series. In Buescher’s two Truck Series races, the youngster captured two top-20 finishes, while completing 98.7% of the laps competed (310 of 314). In NASCAR’s second-tier division, Buescher scored a best finish of 11th in November 2009.
HOME SWEET HOME… This Friday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway will mark the home state return for Buescher, as the 20-year-old was raised in Plano, Texas, and currently lives in Katy, Texas. Since the Lone Star State speedway opened in 1997, Buescher has attended races at the 1.5-mile quad-oval as a spectator and competed at the four other tracks on TMS property in the early years of his career.
ONE AFTER ANOTHER… One week after recording his career-best finish of second in NASCAR competition at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, Buescher backed up his performance by scoring his career-best Truck Series qualifying effort of second at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. This weekend at Texas, Buescher hopes to get one spot higher and record his first Truck Series pole and win.
WAVE OF MOMENTUM… During the last two Truck Series events, Buescher has obtained consecutive top-five finishing results – a second-place and fourth-place effort respectively. This is first time in his short NASCAR career that the Texas native has recorded back-to-back top-five finishes.
BACK TO WHERE IT ALL BEGAN… As the Truck Series embarks on its 25th race at TMS, Turner Motorsports is returning to the track where it all began. Last November, owners Steve and Sandra Turner came to their home state of Texas, to embark on their NASCAR journey, debuting the No. 31 Chevrolet, then driven by Scott Wimmer. The Mooresville, N.C.-based team scored a 13th-place effort in their first national stock car event. Now, Turner Motorsports is home to a two-truck operation with Buescher and Ricky Carmichael behind the steering wheels.
DID YOU KNOW?... Buescher has captured victories on TMS’ other four tracks on the Fort Worth property – Lil’ Texas Motor Speedway, TMS Dirt Track, the Infield Road Course, and the Infield ¼-Mile Track (utilizing pit road and the front stretch).
CHASSIS INFORMATION… Crew chief Michael Shelton has chosen Turner Motorsports chassis No. 11 for Buescher to run at Texas this weekend. Chassis No. 11 has raced twice before, at Kansas Speedway and two weeks ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway. At Charlotte, Buescher qualified second and went on to finish fourth in this particular Kevin Harvick Inc. body and Leavitt chassis.

MEET THE DRIVER… Buescher will join other Truck Series drivers to sign autographs for fans on Friday afternoon from 4:30 to 5:30 PM Central Time. Come out to the Midway Display to receive Buescher’s new Turner Motorsports hero cards.
TWEET OF THE WEEK… As the Truck Series had an off-weekend, Buescher spent last Thursday, May 27th on the golf course, helping raise money for charity, Wrap Buddies. After lots of donations were made, Buescher auctioned off a custom designed helmet, autographed by competitors in the Truck Series. For more information on the Texas-based charity, please visit www.wrapbuddies.com. QUOTES FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL:
BUESCHER (On running up front the past few weeks): “It definitely feels good to be running up front again. I knew once I got in the Turner Motorsports equipment I would have a great opportunity to compete for top-fives and contend for wins. We are really close to knocking on the door for that first victory. When Ricky (Carmichael) and I both finished in the top-five at Dover, it was huge for our teams. The guys have worked really hard all winter and to see the results is great for everyone. The last two weeks, I’ve gotten my career-best finish and career-best qualifying effort so I’m optimistic heading to Texas – my home state. We are heading there looking for that win and if we get it, there is going to be some major celebrating going on. The guys are going to give me another awesome Chevrolet and the best thing about racing with them is it is fun again to go to the track. When you can show up each week and know that you can run up front, it’s a feeling that’s hard to describe.”
